Boys Ages 5-8 Gift Guide

I think gift guides for boys are SO much fun! Hudson has a wide range of interests, so it allows us to sample so many different toys!

From top to bottom, left to right:

  1. Harry Potter Wuidditch Match Legos. Hudson has this set and it is AMAZING. One of our very favorite lego sets ever. Plus the price point is great!
  2. Botley the Coding Robot by Learning Resources. Botley introduces coding in an easy, friendly way and teaches your child STEM skills all while having fun! Hudson is getting this for Christmas!
  3. Walkie Talkies. Roger, over and out! You can’t go wrong with this gift. This set has great reviews and the range is three miles!
  4. Harry Potter Gryffindor Shirt. Hudson doesn’t like a lot of clothes for Christmas, but he would flip out over this cool shirt!
  5. Harry Potter Training Wand. This is so cool and perfect for any Harry Potter fan! It even has 11 spells you can cast with it!
  6. Incredibles Game and Nintendo Switch. My husband has a switch and it is SO fun to play! Hudson loves to borrow it. The screen is pretty big when you use it as a hand held device, but you can also use it on your TV. That’s about as much as I know about the Switch, ha! But it’s fun!
  7. Laser Tag Set. This has great reviews and looks like a blast! I love that it comes in a set of 4, so the whole family can play!
  8. Scruff-a-Luv. I included this in my girls gift guide, but honestly Hudson loves this toy as much (if not more) than his sister! These abandoned pets are in need of some serious love and TLC! You have to bathe your Scruff-a-Luv, dry him or her off, and brush it’s hair. Once you’ve taken care of your pet and given them lots of love, you’ll find out if they are a puppy, kitty, or bunny!
  9. Rock Blocks. How cool are these? They are handmade wooden blocks you can stack and build with. So fun!
  10. The 50 States and 50 States Activity Book. The illustrations in this book are beautiful, and kids learn a ton while having fun. Plus the Activity Book adds an additional layer of fun and learning!
  11. Yeti in My Spaghetti. This is one of our very favorite games! Take turns pulling out a piece of spaghetti, but don’t let the yeti fall! Hudson and Sadie get a kick out of this game.
  12. Hover Soccer Ball. Hudson got this for Christmas last  year and it is still one of our favorites. Perfect for playing a game of soccer on your hardwood floors in the winter!
  13. Supernova Orb. Hudson saw this and immediately put it at the top of his Christmas list. You can control this with your hands…no remote control needed!
  14. GeoSafari Jr. Talking Telescope by Educational Insights. This telescope helps kids explore outer space and learn fun facts at the same time. Hudson is getting this for Christmas and I’m sure it will be a big hit!
  15. Brain Flakes. Kids can use these flakes to build whatever they want! 500 pieces for under $15 means this would make a great gift!
  16. Superhero Capes. Hudson has this set of capes and masks and all three of my kids LOVE it! So fun to dress up like your favorite super hero and save the day!
