6 Steps to a Kid-Friendly Super Bowl Party

It’s Super Bowl weekend and we are pumped! This year Hudson is old enough to finally get it, and he asked if we could have a Super Bowl party with a few friends! It was the cutest thing….so of course we said yes! We can’t wait for Sunday to celebrate with some yummy food and football! The girls have no clue what is happening…but if a party is involved, they are here for it! Today I’m partnering with Febreze to share how to throw a kid-friendly Super Bowl party AND keep your home smelling fresh and clean!

The first step to throwing a party that’s sure to please the adults and the kids is to get the kids involved! Whenever I’m prepping for a party, my kids always have a zillion questions….so I love to keep them busy by putting them to work! Sadie is a great help for washing veggies and displaying them on a plate and Hudson is great at setting up decorations. They were so excited to have a special job to do when helping set up.

Remember to make it fun! Hudson understands football (kind of) so I had him be in charge of our penalty flags. He made up a little game with them and kept calling us out on our “penalties”. It was super cute! He can’t wait for the game to start so he can toss his flags.

Serve kid-friendly food. This one is a given! Snacks and treats….obviously all things kids like, ha! Sadie and Belle surprised me with how much they loved snacking on veggies and dipping them in the dip, so never be afraid to include some healthy options too. When giving the choice the girls chose a mix of foods to eat. Yay!

Keep it simple. These days I don’t have a lot of time on my hands to stress out over every single detail of a party…and I’ve realized that the simple parties where everyone is relaxed are always the most fun!

Teach them the game. The more that kids understand about football, the more they can enjoy the big game! In our house that just translates in to running around crazy with a football!

And, finally, the secret to a great Super Bowl party is to make sure your house smells fresh and clean! It’s easy to focus on the Super Bowl food (and the game!) and forget about the rest, but I guarantee your guests will feel more welcomed if your home smells great. Thankfully, Febreze AIR has got you covered when it comes to getting your home guest-ready! Febreze will save you and your home from all those offensive odors, pregame, postgame, and all the time in between!

Know what I’m talking about? Febreze has partnered with former NFL athlete and Hall of Famer, Terrell Owens, in a new and hilarious YouTube video that shows how odor can ruin a party fast! Hudson was cracking up watching it!

Febreze AIR eliminates tough lingering odors and cleans them away by deactivating and replacing them with a light, fresh scent. It’s fragrance formulas provide continuous scent to fill your home with freshness. I love the light scent….it just smells so good! My home feels fresh and clean, which means we are ready to celebrate the big game this weekend! Remember to include Febreze AIR in your Super Bowl party prep!

Febreze AIR is available at major retailers nationwide.
