5 on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG
Happy Friday! I’m linking up with the lovely ladies of The Good Life, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness for everybody’s favorite link up, 5 on Friday! You should join in on the fun!
{one} I’m itching to FINALLY paint our kitchen as well as our living room. John and Sherry from Young House Love blogged about their paint colors and I am in LOVE. They are a prefect match for our house. Totally copying them. I’m loving either the Nelson Blue, Palladian Blue, or Gray Owl for our kitchen.

{two} We are Mickey Mouse ears all the time in our house. When we went to California last month my husband and I went to Disneyland without Hudson. We are officially the worst smartest parents ever. We picked up some Mickey ears for Hudson and to say he is obsessed with them would be an understatement. We wear them for dinner, to the grocery store, while playing…you name it! And I love it! It’s impossible to get a good picture of him in the ears because he is always moving!

{three} He did it! Hudson moved up to the big kids room at daycare and slept on his little mat during nap time. I couldn’t believe it! My baby is growing up so fast. He’s loving his new room and I’m loving watching him run around and play with his friends! And yes, our daycare has a camera so I can spy on him whenever I like!

{four} Who’s excited? November 22nd can’t come soon enough!

{five} I’m in love with this Hello Darling print by Pure Joy Paperie. I think it would look adorable in our guest bathroom….which is totally next, after the kitchen, on my makeover list.

Loving the Palladian Blue…But the Grey Owl would be such a great neutral, and would be so easy to pull other colors in to decorate with. That's a tough decision! And yay for Hudson making the transition to the big kid room. Can't believe how fast he's growing!!!

I second the grey. My rooms and office are that color and its just so neutral but a hint of color and goes with everything. Loving the ears.

Omg if our daycare had cameras I would probably get fired for not working all day and just looking at the cameras all day. That is so cool!

The mickey ears are the CUTEST!! How sweet!!

And isn't that crazy when they move rooms they sleep on cots? My little man is 15 months now and I still cannot believe he does it everyday. Pretty impressive!! And I'm jealous that they have a camera!! I love getting to see kids interact with each other so much.

    Happy weekend!

I love that Hudson is rocking his Mickey ears all the time. And, that you had a child free Disney trip! Seems backwards, and yet genius all at the same time.

Um, yes. I cannot wait for Catching Fire. I've been debating rereading the books beforehand…

That's great that he's adjusting so well to his new class and friends at the daycare. I have to admit, I'm not at all interested in the Hunger Games. I saw a little bit of the first movie. The child on child violence was too much for me to stomach.

Gentle. That’s the word I’ve chosen for 2021. Gentle. That’s the word I’ve chosen for 2021. Gentle with my children. Gentle with my family. Gentle with myself. Gentle with those who believe differently than I do. Couldn’t we all use a little more gentleness? After 8 years of raising babies and a crazy 2020 it’s what my mind, body, and soul needs. And my kids and family need it from me too. Have you chosen a word for 2021? If so, let me know what it is! (and thank you @bluegrassred for the word inspo! I heard her talk about it a few times on @pantsuitpolitics and I couldn’t get it out of my head. Exactly what I need for this year!)
