5 on Friday

{one} He is Risen! (print by Little Baby Garvin) Happy Good Friday! As usual I’m linking up with the lovely ladies of The Good Life, A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday…and you should too!
{two} Look what the Easter bunny brought me! And by Easter bunny I totally mean myself. My long awaited hunter wellies. I’m in love. You can now refer to me as the girl in the red rain boots. Because I am Never. Taking. Them. Off.
{three} It would be nice if the Easter bunny also brought me this bag. Because it’s all kind of awesome. And by Easter bunny, this time I mean my husband. hint. hint.

{four} Hudson moved up to the big boy room this week at school….it hasn’t been a perfect transition but I know he will have more fun in his new room. I’ve been spying a lot on him using their video feed….which mostly causes major anxiety in me for some reason…but I did catch him sitting at the table with all his friends eating a snack. And he’s not strapped in. Holy cow.
{five} I put together these succulents as a thank you gift for Hudson’s teachers. They are the only plant I haven’t managed to kill!

Happy Easter! p.s….don’t forget to check out my “we like clean bums and we can not lie” post!

The red boots we're a perfect choice. And if you want to change your blog name we all totally understand. And if you need another photoshoot by your truly in them I'm totally game. Basically because it means I'd get to see your face… In person.

And I'd have an opportunity to steal that jacket.

5 on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG
Happy Friday loves! I missed this link up last week while we were out of town. So I’m thrilled to be back and linking up with The Good Life, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday…and you should too!
{one} After two months of Hudson’s arms and legs getting stuck in his crib I finally broke down and ordered some bumpers. And oh my word, I’m in LOVE with them! They were custom made by Nooches and I couldn’t be happier. They are navy polka dot and grey stripe that match his room perfectly. Sorry for the iphone pic….someone whose name starts with “hud” and ends in “son” got his hands on my camera and broke my lens.

{two} Our October Citrus Lane box arrived this week and it’s another huge hit! This time Hudson and I were both home when the mailman dropped it off….so I made a big deal about it, which got Hudson SO excited! I think he’s starting to understand what I’m saying…or at least he understands when I’m excited! Anyway, he anxiously watched me open the box and had the BIGGEST smile on his face while playing with all of his surprise goodies! I love getting surprise stuff in the mail! This month we got an adorable Train Whistle from Green Tones that Hudson thinks is hilarious, the cutest ever Water Bugs from Boon (we totally needed new bath toys and these are so fun!), a Cool it Buddy Instant Cold Pack from Me4Kidz (perfect for our diaper bag), a Babybug book from Cricket Magazine plus a 3 month digital subscription to the magazine. Click here for $10 off your first box, which brings the price down to $15(which includes shipping). Totally worth it for such fun surprises!
{three} I’m officially packing up my breast pump and giving it a good Office Space beatdown saying goodbye for now. I’ve been slowly weaning myself off of pumping sessions now that Hudson drinks whole milk during the day. To go from three (sometimes four) pumping sessions a day down to zero is so liberating! I feel like I have my time and body back. I’m still nursing Hudson in the morning and at bedtime which is 100% easier, hallelujah.

{four} I’m dying over this gold deer bust from Little Miss Momma. I am making it asap.

{five} Something BIG is happening on my blog next week. Here’s a hint. It’s awesome.

Can't wait to hear the big news next week! Loving that antler DIY (though not quite sure about the yellow frame). And love, love, love Hudson's leggings and moccasins.

I don't want to rush my baby growing any faster than he already is, but I can tell you one thing: The day I get to pack up my breast pump will be a great day indeed!!! So tired of that thing.

I never could get the whole pumping thing down. Sometimes my breast would cooperate other times not so much. It was just easier to breastfeed straight from the boob for me. I just stopped breastfeeding my son not too long ago and it is liberating to have your body back, but I do miss the closeness I felt like breastfeeding gave us.

The new bumper is adorable! And congrats on making it so long pumping! I find nursing simple but I never was fond of the pump and I don't know how successful I would have been if I had to pump on a regular basis.

Putting the pump away is a wonderful feeling! I love breast feeding but the pumping is not fun! I would hear the sound in my sleep.
