23 Weeks

Photobucket
How far along? 23 weeks. Baby weighs over one pound.
Maternity clothes? Yes and no. Most of my dresses and tops still fit…but some are getting a little short. I’m already tall so once you add a baby bump it gets harder to find something long enough for me!
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Still sleeping like a rock and loving my body pillow.
Best moment this week:  The husband finally feeling some big kicks! He’s felt little movements before but they always seem to stop when he puts his hand on my belly. But not any more.
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach.
Movement: Tons…this guy is a wiggle worm for sure.
Food cravings: I’m still craving chocolate milk. And bananas. And homemade bread.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender: It’s a boy!
Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: Lighter and thicker hair (but it’s not prettier looking, trust me!). One leg cramp that was so bad I woke up in the middle of the night screaming. The poor husband thought I was in labor. It hurt like crazy! Luckily it’s only happened once. Oh, and the heartburn has started! Two Tums right before I go to bed seem to do the trick.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy and excited.

Looking forward to: Getting my Gap maternity jeans, setting up a maternity photo session, painting the changing table, and hopefully passing my glucose test next week. Wish me luck!

I forgot about the evil glucose test!! At least morning sickness is over for you, stupid sugar water. And homemade bread sounds amazing!

Sounds and looks like you're doing great! I remember when my hubby could finally feel the kicks, so glad yours can now 🙂 I honestly didn't think the glucose test was bad. Worst part for me was having to sit there. Take a book 🙂 Hope it goes well!

Adorable! Feeling those little kicks is one of the best moments in life 🙂 Is it me, or is your pregnancy flying by at lightning speed?! Craziness!

You're still so tiny!! Itty bitty bump!! 😉 And gosh, I got a SECOND leg cramp this week and thought I was going to die. My left leg still feels like it ran a marathon, it's that soar! Not ok!!

    You are too cute!!

And for dresses, I recommend Old Navy.I have the same problem, I am taller too so dresses are already short without my bump. Old Navy is great because so many of their dresses are longer and you can buy regular dresses just in bigger sizes!

Oh my gosh, your maternity photos are going to be amazing, I just know it!

How is the kicking feeling? It's all so weird to think about – amazing what goes on in your little belly!

Isn't the kicking the best feeling in the entire world?! I still can't get enough of him moving around – even though he's now so big and strong it hurts! It makes me so proud! As for the leg cramps, I swear by coconut water. I used to get horrible cramps in the middle of the night too, so I started drinking a bottle a day and have completely eliminated leg cramps. The stuff is actually pretty refreshing and very hydrating (lots of potassium for the cramps and electrolytes for hydration). It'll change your life!

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
