16 Weeks

Photobucket
How far along? 16 weeks. Baby is the size of an avocado.
Maternity clothes? Not yet. I need to start shopping around for some cute stuff to wear to work.
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Pretty good….I get up once to use the bathroom.

Best moment this week:  Telling our neighbors our news and some more people at work….everyone is so excited!
Miss Anything? I can’t think of anything I miss this week.
Movement: Nope.
Food cravings: Still the same favorites this week: pickles, raspberries, and cottage cheese. Oh and root beer floats….which we had last night!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Raw meat, carrots, and broccoli. And Greek yogurt still makes me queasy whenever I think about it. And with all this talk about avocados this week I think I can also add them to sick list.
Gender: We have to be super patient and wait until I’m 20 weeks….seems so far away!
Labor Signs: Way too early.
Symptoms: I’m a little tired and have a sore throat….but no complaints here since I feel SO much better than I did a few weeks ago.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Good
Looking forward to:  Painting the nursery, buying our crib, and testing out strollers.

Ooh! Have fun stroller testing! I remember it being so overwhelming… There are so many to choose from!! They're all different, and good… You need one with snow tires I think!

Food aversions are just the worst! I feel you! And don't worry, you'll find out the gender before you know it! It feels like FOREVER ago that we found out and then I realize it was only 8 weeks ago. Wow!

You look so cute with your little bump! I'm dreading this food aversion stuff. I'll be the chick to yack in the grocery store when I catch a scent of a certain food. I can't wait to see the nursery! And find out the sex, of course.

You may have already done this, but I suggest taking a recorder of some sort to your next appointment to record the heartbeat. You will want that sound. We actually did it with 3 build a bear recorders (they sell them without the bears) and then got the bears and "It's a girl" shirts for the grandmas and one for the baby. It is her favorite bear:o)

I was very excited to read your good news (did you know the photos are gone?)!!
