100 Days!

In 100 days I will be a married woman. Mrs. R. Wow. Where has the time gone? Wasn’t it just a few days ago that I had 200 days? All of the little things I have been putting off because “I have plenty of time to do that later” actually have to be done now. Yikes. I better get to work!

Julie! Hi! I just saw your site linked to Holly’s, remembered you from Valley (and Bixby Knolls neighborhood) and was glad to see you’re looking so happy and doing so well. Congratulations on your engagement! I went to college at Calvin and married a midwestern boy, so I know all about trying to be a “California girl” in Michigan. What I mostly wanted to say, other than “hi” is that I LOVE the “pioneer woman” site that I found through yours. My eyeballs are burning from staring at the computer for the last hour because I couldn’t tear myself away. She’s so funny! Her recipes look great! Now I want to be a pioneer! Thanks for inadvertently helping me find the site. Enjoy your last 100 days. Wait, 99 days. 🙂

Just keep counting and then after the wedding keep that joy and count from the date instead of to the date

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
